Due to forthcoming galas and private bookings the pools will be closed on the following days and times:

Extra Lane Swimming Sessions

Due to cancelled bookings we will be running extra Lane Swimming Sessions, with all 8 lanes available on the following day:

Wednesday 28th July 2010
Wednesday 4th August 2010
Wednesday 11th August 2010
Wednesday 18th August 2010
Wednesday 25th August 2010

All sessions are 8.30pm to 10.00pm

*Price Increases*

As of the 1st April 2010, all Swimming Prices will increase. All new prices have been listed below for reference:

Adult £3.95
Junior £2.95
Child 3-4 yrs £1.65
Family £10.70
Aquacise £5.90
Meeting Room £36.65

*Free Swimming*
NO PROOF NO ENTRY

As of the April 1st all customers must either have the blue copy of their application, pending receipt of their card or a, valid membership card. If customers fail to bring the above they will be asked to pay the full price of a swim.

If a customer has the blue copy of their Application Form and their card is here they will need to pay the £2.00 admin fee to pick the card up.

The card will only be issued when the fee has been paid. Therefore, if the card is ready for collection and the fee is not paid, the customer will need to pay the full price for the swim.

If you have misplaced your card you may purchase a replacement card at reception for the fee of £6.00

Under no circumstances can customers sign up for the Free Swimming if you have already done so at Braintree Swimming Centre, Bramston Sports Centre or Halstead Leisure Centre.

*FREE SWIMMING*
(16yrs & Under and the Over 60's)

All you need to do is complete an application form available from Reception or to download from the BDC website and bring to the centre with qualifying ID.

*BUSY SESSIONS*

All weekend and Holiday Sessions are very busy and a band entry system is operated. Sessions apply to all pools and are one hour in duration. Entry to the sessions is every half hour (depending upon demand).

Adults wishing to do fitness swimming would be better to attend Early Risers or an Adult Only Session.

Why not take advantage of our all inclusive Swimming Membership which also includes our Water Aerobics Programme. Why Not Swim For Less!!!!!

*UNDER 8's ENTRANCE POLICY*

In the interest of Health and Safety we operate an under 8's policy. Please refer to attached flyer for further details.

For further help and assistance please contact our Reception Desk where every effort will be made to provide assistance.

Leisure Pool Facility

8 Lane x 25 metre Pool

Leisure Waters

A family orientated pool, with slide and interactive equipment. Children must be under 8 years to use this pool and acompanied by an adult

Teaching Pool

Used for both Public Sessions and Swim Academy Lessons. This pool is for children under the age of 8 years, who must be accompanied by an adult, or non swimmers ONLY

UV Treated Water

All pools are uv treated, reducing chlorine levels to the minimum. This provides a more pleasant swimming environment for bathers.

Large Spectator Facilities

Seating and spectating facilities are spacious and ideal for Swimming Galas and watching Swimming Lessons.

Greater Disabled Access

The design of this new building has really catered for our disabled customers. Entrance doors are automatic, with a lift to take you to the first floor. We have two hoist available which offer assistance in and out of the Main Pool and in and out of wheel chairs. All toilets are disabled friendly and fitted with assistance alarms.

Conference Facilities

We have two meeting / training areas. The bigger of the rooms offers toilet facilities and a kitchen. Both room are fully air-conditioned. Catering and refreshments can be provided for all bookings.

Large Free Car Park

Braintree shares parking with Freeport Shopping Village, providing plenty of free parking. There are also disabled spaces directly outside the Swimming Centre

Train & Bus Access

With a train station and bus stop a short distance away, access to the Swimming Centre could'nt be better.

Swim Academy

Braintree Swimming Centre provides a vast programme of swimming lessons for all ages. Details available from Reception (01376 - 333833)
